Quilting - Line + Color

We love this new book by  Yoshi Jinzenji where you can discover the elegant simplicity of contemporary quilting. This internationally known weaver, dyer, fabric artist, teacher, and quilter  explores shape, color, stitching, and fabric in more than 30 gorgeous projects including bed-sized quilts, bags and pillows. She uses white or very light neutrals as her backgrounds and sheer fabrics to add dimension to many of the quilts described in the book. Her use of graphic designs is inspiring.

She shares her artistry and philosophy as she teaches how to cut, piece, and stitch a variety of designs--from patchwork and innovative uses of applique to layered transparent fabrics and handstitching. With precise instructions and detailed illustrations, Quilting Line + Color gives you an uncomplicated approach to adventurous yet beautifully balanced quilts.

Our sample was sewn using Kona solids and cotton prints from the Riverwood collectin.  Note the detailed stitching on the close up  images.
